ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Senior Solutions Engineer will work closely with our Channel Sales organization to provide technical solution designs for our prospective and existing customers. This position is critical to the success of our sales organization to provide efficient and cost effective IT solutions, that provide value to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Develop Solution Engineering support assignments relative to the Channel Sales organizations
Capability assessments of the Solution Engineer's technical, business and sales abilities.
Provide technical and professional guidance to all regional Sales Solution Engineer's.
Develop and implement individual and team training plans
Create and implement strategic solution strategies for the Solution Engineering team.
Maintain team focus on the Channel Sales goals and top opportunities
Develop and maintain a working relationship with the regional sales organizations
Develop and maintain professional business relationships with client's & prospects in the region
Develop a working dialog with Operations and Engineering at regional recovery and managed services facilities
Provide professional presentations at technical and management levels
Review detailed proposal workflows prepared by the regional Sales Support Engineers
Participate in special engineering and technology projects as needed
Identify and communicate information relative to product enhancements & new development within appropriate product channels.
Perform general reporting functions
30% travel
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required
Min. of 3 years in a leadership role
Min. of 10 years in a technical services or product support role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Organization Management skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Current knowledge of common Systems, Network, OS and applications in use in the industry
Current knowledge of Production Data Center operations and functions
Current knowledge of carrier based telecomm offerings
Knowledge in the use of PC platforms and SoftwareEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
