61 an hour 12 days ago 12 days ago 12 days ago Are you ready to join our TEAM! The Purchasing Technician will be responsible for assisting in purchase orders, receiving/tagging inventory, and processing returns of all departmental Information Technology (IT) products and services that are procured.
The position manages DOJ's cellular products as well as providing a variety of administrative duties, and coordinate office functions for division staff.
The duties and responsibilities are varied, and independent thinking and decision-making, in coordination with the CIO, Section Supervisors, and technical staff.
Procure goods and services using the small purchase process as defined in the Procurement Rules and Methods policy.
Follow procurement laws, rules, policy, and processes.
Receive quotes where practical and use the State's Vendor List for small purchases when possible.
Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best price among potential suppliers.
Create purchase orders to ensure accuracy of specifications and delivery requirements.
Resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other purchasing issues.
Complete data entry into databases and systems, gather information, and prepare reports.
Maintain records of purchases.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of purchasing or other applicable experience.
Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.
