35 an hour Facility Inspector 2-Trainer - (24140732) The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Inspector General-Certification Division.
This position is responsible for training Bureau and regulated healthcare facility staff on current, and changes to, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations.
This is a non-supervisory position.
Major duties and responsibilities include maintaining a knowledge base of CMS regulations (health, life safety code, emergency preparedness, and CLIA) and working with management to provide consistent guidance to all trainees.
This individual will be responsible for completing lead worker duties to maintain knowledge and assist in improving processes for all involved.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity Knowledge of basic medical practitioner.
Ability to interpret regulations and make decisions based on those regulations.
Ability to provide training on CMS information to a variety of recipients including certification bureau and healthcare facility staff.
Ability to understand a variety of training areas such as health, life safety code and CLIA regulations.
Ability to work with a variety of team members to produce a single survey product.
Skills in communicating both verbally and in writing from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions.
Meet minimum
Qualifications:
Licensed healthcare practitioner (licensure requirements include a related bachelor's degree or equivalent).
Two years of work experience in a healthcare-related field, or other directly related clinical experience.
Must have passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) for CMS surveyors or be able to pass the examination within one year of hire.
Registered Nurse highly desirable.
Other combinations of related education and work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
