) What is this career opportunity? General Services Division (GSD) is a dynamic division comprised of Capitol Facilities Maintenance, Real Property & Leasing, Surplus Property & Recycling, and State Print & Mail.
GSD is seeking a Business Analyst to join their central operations team, at the direction of the Planning & Operations Manager.
The ideal Business Analyst is a highly organized, self-motivated, collaborative, professional that will support the overall GSD mission of providing excellent customer service while ensuring smart stewardship of State assets.
This position is responsible for applying broad-based business management principals across a diverse set of internal business units to ensure operational and financial integrity, and support informed business decisions.
A successful business analyst in GSD is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to focus simultaneously on both long-term and short-projects while serving multiple internal stakeholders.

The Business Analyst performs a variety of technical, analytical, and consultative duties within GSD operations, including:
Provides financial and programmatic analyses and reporting for multiple programs and initiatives within GSD; Ensures that initiatives are executed in alignment with goals; Facilitates internal contract coordination and provides oversight to vendors to ensure contract compliance; Manages projects, initiatives, proposals, business campaigns, and presentations; Supports risk management and control, including the ongoing process of risk identification, and the development of appropriate risk response plans; Provides guidance that ensures staff works in accordance with the approved operating policies, procedures, best practices and methods; Develops policy and procedures.
Manages GSD policy database; Ensures consistency among GSD's customer delivery services and solicits feedback from stakeholders to ensure consistency and relevance of provided services; Works with GSD leadership and staff to determine project requirements and liaise with the business and technical experts who can assist in developing solutions; Works with GSD business units to develop standard operating procedures, documenting workflow and process steps; (You can learn more about the Department of Administration's General Services Division here.
) What are we looking for? Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field, and two years applicable experience.
Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Knowledge of:
