Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling Fecon land clearing equipment and construction attachments to land clearing contractors and construction equipment dealers.
The role is responsible for building a territory by developing new relationships and nurturing existing relationships with our dealers and customers.
Job Duties/
Responsibilities:
Builds and sustains long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers/dealers within the assigned sales territory.
Acts as the liaison between the dealer/customers and other departments within Fecon.
Trains dealers on all aspects of the Fecon product line including but not limited to product knowledge, product operation, product pricing, Fecon Connect, marketing coop, etc.
Assists dealers with demos and start up trainings.
Implements/reviews business plans with the dealers; including but not limited to inventory levels, annual sales goals, and dealer scorecards.
Monitors market conditions in relation to competitive products, pricing, and availability.
Maintains customer data and lead conversions within Fecon's CRM.
Meets or exceeds market share and sales revenue goals within the assigned territory.
Identifies open markets within the territory and works to fill those open areas with dealer representation.
Identifies weak/under-performing dealers and develops a plan with those dealers to determine what is needed to improve markets share.
Submits complete and detailed orders through the proper channels at Fecon.
Works with Marketing/Dealer Development to develop business plans for the dealers.
Works with service to mitigate customer complaints by working together to arrive at solutions that will be beneficial for all parties involved.
Provides feedback from dealers and customer to engineering and service about any product changes that may need to be addressed.
Attends industry trade shows to generate new leads, and network with existing customers.
Stays connected with the industry to identify emerging markets/opportunities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of heavy equipment/construction equipment is required.
Computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Must have the ability to make cold calls to businesses.
Ability to learn quickly to gain knowledge of the Fecon product line as well as understanding our competition.
Maintains a professional company image at all times.
Education and
Experience:
High school or equivalent education is required.
Preference for 4-year degree.
Minimum of 5 years Business to business sales experience; experience in sales of construction equipment is preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel a minimum of 50% within the assigned territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
This position is based within the sales territory.
Ability to safely climb onto and around the equipment.
Ability to safely drive and operate machinery.
