00/HOUR POSITON Overview:
As part of our team, you will support and serve our customers to ensure efficient, effective, and high quality service.
In order to succeed in this position, you will maintain a customer focus and work with our administration staff, drivers, and operators to complete required tasks.
You will be responsible for proactive customer communication and trouble shooting issues with customers or other team members as they arise.
You will be responsible for customer billing, answering phones, responding to emails, depositing daily payments, maintaining a positive attitude, scheduling & coordinating daily work for drivers.
The position requires you to be reliable, dependable, a problem solver, and customer service oriented.
The ideal candidate is versatile, has an attention to detail, learns quickly, and works well with a team.
This position will require front desk reception walk-in customer service.
The ideal candidate has experience with customer account management and excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CUSTOMER SERVICE Take incoming inquiries from customers to plan, coordinate, and serve the customer's needs.
Maintain a customer focused approach to service and provide solutions for customers.
Ability to ask for help when needed and respond to the customer promptly.
Provide high quality, positive, and timely customer support, create customer accounts, solve customer issues, post payments, answer phone and respond to emails.
Enter customer notes with each contact.
Create and send notices to customers (late, stop service, collections, etc.
).
Proactively communicate with customers via email or phone.
Make recommendations and problem solving with team to provide better communication and service to customers as needed.
Ensure customers are being charged correctly for services performed.
Redirect calls to appropriate person as needed.
Able to schedule collection for customers.
Request customers to sign up for paperless billing and autopay.
Provide support to drivers as required to service the customer and proactively communicate with customers any route issues, service interruptions, or delays.
Review route notes and charge customers as required.
CUSTOMER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT Directly work with Office Manager to ensure customer accounts are billed accurately and payments and credits are posted correctly to maintain accurate accounting information.
Work with Office Manager and Controller ensure correct and accurate financials through customer billing, daily deposits, payment receipts, etc.
Filing documentation from day-to-day activities.
E-file account forms & other forms.
Perform daily remote deposits, matching up posting amount to FIB deposit amount and combining PDF's and save for accountant.
Review customer routing and assign customers to routes as needed.
Schedule service tickets and route notes for drivers to communicate customer needs or services requested by the customer.
Review customer accounts for billing.
Process daily routes and review for complete and accurate information.
Post failed credit card transactions to customer comments.
Process extra charges from drivers.
Complete one task before moving to the next task.
OTHER DUTIES Attend and participate in meetings, and all continuing education and required training as assigned.
Acts as a liaison, where necessary, for customers and drivers.
Assist in other activities outside assigned area as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED OR two (2) years related experience and/or training in customer service with a heavy emphasis on customer account management and excellent communication skills.
Strong aptitude for working with people and wanting to take care of others Capable of operating in a small office with a close team and learning as you go.
Capable of adapting and problem solving with the team to be successful.
Able to learn other Customer Service duties and fill in as needed to ensure our office continues to run smoothly and customers are responded to in a timely manner.
Ability to detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and communicate reasonable solutions to the customer.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:
Competent ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals and use Microsoft Office products, fleet software and databases specific to Tri County Disposal (Samsara, Accu-Trax, etc.
), Internet, and Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to use telephone, facsimile machine, copy machine, printers, scanning devices, calculator, radios, and general office equipment.
Ability to use company billing, routing, video, communication software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds or more.
Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard, mouse or other related equipment.
Repetitive motion that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers.
