This position serves as a Falling Weight Deflection (FWD) Analyst and is responsible for organizing and conducting statewide data collection and analysis projects to determine the overall structural condition of roadways.
This includes responsibilities for data collection, research, and analysis; software and equipment maintenance, calibration, and testing; and performing a variety of other duties as assigned.
Extensive, overnight travel is required during the summer months.

Qualifications:
The required knowledge and skills are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, including 1 year of experience in the field of Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Electronics or a related field.
Any combination of additional related work experience and education equivalent to the minimum qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
A Bachelor's Degree in one of these fields is preferred.
Other alternative qualifications include:
2-year associates degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics plus 1 year of experience in highway design, construction, materials, electronics, and/or computer science.
Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Certifications, licensure, or other credentials include:
